Is autobi.in/ free to use?

The browser-based writing tool is designed to be free to use. Check the site for any future feature changes.

Do I need an account?

The current tool does not require an account to start writing.

Where is my story saved?

The Autobi Builder plugin saves your draft in local storage in the browser on the device you are using. It does not automatically sync across devices.

Can I lose my draft?

Yes. Clearing browser/site data, using private browsing or switching devices may make a locally saved draft unavailable. Download a backup regularly.

Does the tool send my story to an AI service?

The current plugin is designed to use your own writing and guided prompts without sending your story to an AI writing service.

Can I create a PDF?

Use the book export button if it is enabled in your installed plugin version. You can also use the browser’s print dialog and choose Save as PDF when available.

Can I edit the chapters?

Yes. The tool is designed to let you edit chapter titles and text and use prompts as inspiration.
